Moncada, or Montcada (, ), is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of Horta Nord in the Valencian Community, Spain.

On the official writings in Latin ''Monscatanus'' was used, from ''mons'' ("mountain"), making 'Montcada' the correct original spelling and Moncada a vulgarization of the name. However, officially the town's name is written Moncada,〔
